Cycle Training all year round
Second and fourth Monday of the month, 7:30 - 9pm - Safe cycle training on closed roads at Tameside Cycle Circuit, Richmond Street, Ashton, OL7 9HG. A coached, cycle circuit session developing bike skills, endurance and speed work, all transferable to the road developing overall cycling confidence.
Run Training all year round
Tuesdays 6:45pm - Meet at the turning circle at the end of Green Lane in Simmondley. Coached run sessions are provided via Glossopdale Harriers and is organised under their Club systems and Risk Assessments. These sessions are run for all abilities and include pace setting, VO2 max, pyramid and hill reps to improve pacing and stamina across all distances.
Turbo Training (via Zoom) September to June
Wednesdays 7 - 8pm
Coached sessions are designed and delivered by our coaches to maximise your cycling potential so you see the benefits in the summer season. You can join by our Zoom link and train from the comfort of your own home!
Coached Lane Swimming all year round
Sundays 5:15 - 6:15
Glossop Pool where the Club has access to all 4 lanes and caters for all abilities in structured coached sessions. These work on technique drills, pacing, sprint and endurance. Using Swim Smooth technique and personal times (Critical Swim Speeds) the sessions are designed so members can train at their own optimum level throughout the 1 hour session.
Lane Swimming October to June
Thursdays 8 - 9pm
Uncoached lane swim during the Winter months with exclusive use of Glossop pool. A swim set is provided to complement our Sunday sessions.
Open Water Swimming May to September
Thursdays 5:30 - 7:30pm
Safe, open water swimming at Combs reservoir during the summer months. Fully lifeguarded and with safety canoeists on the water and land based spotters. Please see our Open Water page for more details.
