GTC Aquathon was a great success in 2019 despite the weather with over 30 people joining for the sprint and super sprint distances. Thanks go to members of Glossop and High Peak Tri for volunteering as marshals.

Three of the TOWS team have become qualified as open water coaches. Catch them on a session for some tips and look out for other coached events during the season.

Open Water Lifeguard training starts in May for 6 of our safety volunteers.

TOWS has been accepted as a SH2OUT fully accredited venue in July 2018

The damage to the dam at Toddbrook reservoir in August 2019 means the water has been drained. We hope to move our open water swimming to Combs Reservoir another Canal and Rivers Trust owned water for summer 2021.

As you would expect we have had a quiet 2020 season. The club is up and running sessions under tier 3 covid restrictions providing turbo sessions online and uncoached lane swimming sessions until the BTF regulations permit us to do more.
