Round the Ressa Success!
Jo, David, Beth and Sarah took part in the race again this June with David and Jo winning their age groups. Well done!
In May, our open water lifeguards attended two days of training at New Mills pool to be fully qualified and up to date with their training ready for the TOWS at Combs open water session to begin next week. Well done all and thank you for giving up your time to volunteer in this essential role.
Our open water swimming TOWS at Combs will return to Combs reservoir on Thursday 25th May 2023. You must be registered with us to swim and book a place through Eventbrite. We look forward to welcoming you back to the water.
The damage to the dam at Toddbrook reservoir in in August 2019 means the water has been drained. We are delighted we have been able to move our open water swimming to Combs Reservoir, another Canal and Rivers Trust owned water for summer 2021 and beyond.
Three of the TOWS team have become qualified as Level 1 Open water coaches. Catch them on a session for some tips and look out for other coached events during the season.
